Small Animal Chiropractic

Almost any animal can be adjusted, but dogs are the most common small animal to benefit from chiropractic adjustments.  Humans place high demands on dogs in relation to training, performing, and working; chiropractic care is one way you can ensure your favorite companion is feeling up to the challenge.

When dogs love to play, it's hard for them to quit. They often don't show outward signs of "over doing it" until much later.  Watch for signs of limping or pain in the hours and days after rigorous play.

Playing Fetch

Dogs have amazing control of their jaws due to massive amounts of proprioception dedicated to their mouth.  This means that more brain power is focused on holding a ball and less is dedicated to controlling the rest of the body, making them more susceptible to injury when playing fetch.

Brown Dog

Older dogs with arthritis and dogs with excess weight will often avoid activity due to pain in their joints.  Chiropractic offers them a chance to move more freely with less pain.

Doggie Jump

Frequent jumping or one hard landing can cause injuries in the stifle, hip and back.  If not addressed early on these can lead to more issues for your pet down the road.

Dog Contest

Quick turns and jumping at high speeds can lead to subluxations in the wrist or elbow regions.  Whether your dog is training or competing, having them adjusted can keep them moving and help improve their performance.

Dog in Cone

Having an injury in one part of the body means compensation in another  part.  Healthy joints may be put under more pressure as the injured area heals.

Dog Swimming

Swimming is a great non-weight-bearing activity for your dog, but the muscles of the tail and neck can become strained from overuse. Chiropractic can help muscle injuries too!
